Sheikh Maher Bin Hamad Al Muaiqly was born in 1969. His birth place originates to the urban of Madinah and belongs to Al Muaiqly set from Yanbu. The Sheikh’s mother was claimed from Pakistan, however, the claim was denied from his brother on Twitter. Sheikh has a family of 4 kids.

Sheikh grew up in Madinah. When it comes to his academics, he was bright in Mathematics and obtained a PhD degree in Maths. Soon after he had finished his studies, he started teaching Maths.

Sheikh led prayers in Makkah and Madinah. In the month of Ramadan, sheikh led prayers with a big crowd. People used to listen to the Sheikh’s voice during the prayer of Taraweh.

Soon, Sheikh gained popularity as Imam and reciter of the Holy Quran, and was selected as an Advisor of Prince Abdul Majid in Makkah. At the end of his career as an advisor, Sheikh started teaching in King Abdullah Saud School in Makkah. He was then selected to lead Tarawih at Masjid Al Nabwi in the year of 2005. Also, he was selected to lead Tarawih in 2007, in Masjid Al Haram, Makkah. He was then chosen as permanent Imam.

Sheikh Maher also produced media tapes including recital of the Holy Quran. He also performed on TV and Radio channels, websites, and different religious forums.

Sheikh Maher also performed Tarawih in collaboration with Sheikh Abdul Rehman Al Sudais and Sheikh Abdul Awad Al Juhany.

Besides Sheikh’s mentioned achievements, he was appointed as Khateeb of Mosque Al Haram in Ramadan, 2016/1437. He conveyed his first Khutbah in Masjid Al Haram on 15^th of July, 2016.
